An anti-terrorism court Friday sent 13 accused to jail on a 14-day judicial remand for allegedly setting Joseph Colony on fire and injuring 25 cops in the same incident.
However, Mian Saleem, an accused, was released after police informed the court that the accused was innocent in their investigation and no evidence was available against him.
The IO told the court that they had completed investigation and recovered clubs which were used in injuring police officials, petrol bottles and other items which were used in setting ablaze the houses.
In previous proceedings the police had produced 14 accused. They include Muhammad Amjad, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Latif, Muhammad Afzal, Imran, Riaz Gujar, Khalil, Imran, Nadeem, Mian Saleem, Nazeer, Imran Baig, Shaikh Ibad and Rashid Ahmed, before Irfan Saeed’s court.
